_biography

Dave Glass works as a freelance illustrator and designer out of his 5th floor apartment, a renovated children's hospital, residing with his wife and son in South Central Philadelphia, specializing in "Punk Pin-Up" and Rawk n Roll illustration. Under his moniker Ink Runs Cold also performs as a contracted screen printer, running mainly tattoo and music style clothing, all work being produced by hand. Currently on location with Villain Arts/Tattooed Kingpin in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.

Hailing from Camden South Carolina spawned August 29th 1972 a Catholic boy of Scottish/Irish decent, the year Iggy and The Stooges Raw Power confused the masses, sharing the same birth date as the likes of GG Allin and Michael Jackson, Dave Glass Riddick was untuned to the world. A wandering, punk rock, latchkey, Ritalin kid turning 16 out of a brocken home roaming up and down the east coast, a nomad seemingly going nowhere fast. Moving now more than 34 times with job descriptions from metal fabricator, nightshift plastic plant monitor, repoman, pizza delivery guy, landscaper, mechanics asst., demolition man, painter, ice cream man, pre press operator, shipping manager, screen printer, electricians asst., graphic designer, illustrator, and drummer for countless music projects since High School in the late 80's. Today resides as a "Yankee Trader" in Philadelphia since 1991-92, with a brief stint in Brooklyn NY scraping by selling art on Bedford Ave out of a shopping cart summer 2002.

Love, lust, and heartbreak of the female persuasion has inspired Dave Glass to immortalize these creatures in the only way he can, out of mind with art in hand. All a part of life's experience have found the touch of a woman to be the most heartfelt in survival no matter what. Dedicated to all those lovely kittens, barflies, lonely hearts, punk rockers, goths, rockers, psychos and upstarts.
"Raw energy holding up and breaking down the walls, fingerprints, visionary marks, casted in blood, sweat, shivers, spit, paint, ink, cutouts, stencils. DIY leave your mark. Art is history, part of movements, Dada to Punk. It seeps in the sewers overflowing in the streets, evaporating to acid rain making hair color unnatural. Seen to remind people that there's much more happening in the world and to be aware. Stripped apart rotten to the core pieced together with unusual tools. Punk is more than music its a lifestyle with artistic eyes lurking beneath the shadows peeping thru windows with cataracts from dementia of a world gone sour. We are everywhere this is our outlet."
